Safety First Proficiency Badge

About the badge:

This badge represents the Knowledge of Road Safety of cadet.

Requirements:

Secondary One, went for lessons on Road Safety, performed Road Marshal Duties at East Coast Road Safety Park.

Tests:

Road Safety Written Test (to be taken in Unit)

 

Swimming Proficiency Badge

About the badge:

This badge represents the water skills of cadet.

Requirements:

At least a certificate in National Swimming Survival Award(Bronze).

 

Campcraft Proficiency Badge

About the badge:

This badge represents the Campcraft Knowledge of Knots and Lashings, tent- pitching skills of cadet.

Requirements:

Secondary One and above, able to tie at least 8 basic knots, 4 lashings, pitch a 8-man tent and erect a flagpole.

Tests:

Knots and Lashings test & Tent-pitching test.

 

Marksmanship Proficiency Badge

About the badge:

This badge represents the marksmanship of the cadet.

Requirements:

Secondary Three, attend 2 dry practices and one live practise

Tests:

A .22 revolver classification shoot at the Police Academy

 

Civil Defence Proficiency Badge

About the badge:

This badge represents the Civil Defence Knowledge of cadet.

Requirements:

Secondary Two and above, attend the Civil Defence Course organised by NPCC Headquarter

Tests:

Tests conducted at the Course itself

 

Adventure Training Proficiency Badge

About the badge:

This badge represents the Outdoor Training of cadet.

Requirements:

Secondary Three and above, attend 2 Adventure Training Camps (ATC, 1 in sec 2, 1 in sec 3) in Pulau Ubin.

 

SANA Proficiency Badge

About the badge:

This badge represents the Anti-Drug and Inhalant Abuse Knowledge of cadet.

Requirements:

Secondary Two and above, attend the SANA course organised by NPCC Headquarters.

Tests:

A written test at the Course itself

 

Life-Saving Proficiency Badge

About the badge:

This badge represents the Life Saving Skills and Knowledge of rescuing a person.

Requirements:

Age of 15, attend the Life Saving Course in Police Academy, a qualified swimmer with certificates to prove.

Tests:

Tests conducted at the Course itself

 

Crime Prevention Proficiency Badge

About the badge:

This badge represents the Crime Prevention Knowledge of Cadet.

Requirements:

Secondary Two and Above, attend lectures given by the officer of the Unit.

Tests:

A Crime Prevention Written Test conducted at Unit level and a log book to be done by individual cadet for submission to OC.

 

3rd Class Drill Proficiency Badge

About the badge:

This badge represents the basic class of drill in NPCC.

Requirements:

Secondary One

Tests:

Knowledge of Footdrill Commands and Actions. Able to command a squad through a Drill Session Confidently

 

2nd Class Drill Proficiency Badge

About the badge:

This badge represents the intermediate class of drill in NPCC.

Requirements:

3rd Class Drill Badge, Lance Corporal (minimum level of sec 2)

Tests:

Knowledge of Footdrill and Arms Drill Command and actions. Know M.O.I (Method Of Instrcution) and able to apply it practically on squads. Know the Slow March Commands, actions.

 

1st Class Drill Proficiency Badge

About the badge:

This badge represents the highest class of drill in NPCC.

Requirements:

2nd Class Drill Badge, Corporal (minimum level of sec 2).

Tests:

Able to conduct a formal Muster Parade and able to maintain the parade efficiently till dismissal of parade. Know M.O.I (Method Of Instruction) and able to apply it practically on squads.

 

Neighbourhood Watch Proficiency Badge (Bronze)

About the badge:

This badge represents the basic Neighbourhood Watch Knowledge of Cadets

Requirements:

Secondary Two and above.

Tests:

A Neighbourhood Watch Written Test conducted at Unit level, completed a personal assignment form 1 Neighbourhood Watch Group

 

Neighbourhood Watch Proficiency Badge (Silver)

About the badge:

This badge represents the intermediate Neighbourhood Watch Knowledge of Cadets

Requirements:

Holder of bronze badge.

Tests:

Formed additional 5 Neighbourhood Watch Groups

 

Neighbourhood Watch Proficiency Badge (Gold)

About the badge:

This badge represents the intermediate Neighbourhood Watch Knowledge of Cadets

Requirements:

Holder of Silver badge.

Tests:

Formed additional 10 Neighbourhood Watch Groups

 

Police Knowledge Proficiency Badge

About the badge:

This badge represents the Police Knowledge of the cadet.

Requirements:

Secondary Two and above, attend the Police Knowledge course in NPCC Headquarter.

Tests:

A MCQ test conducted at the Course itself

 

Best Unit Cadet Proficiency Badge

About the badge:

This badge recognises the most outstanding cadet in the squad by the efforts he put into making the unit better and also by his performances over the years of services.

Requirements:

Secondary Three and above, judging made by the OC.

 

SPF-NPCC Proficiency Badge

About the badge:

This badge recognises the most outstanding cadet in the Singapore by the efforts he put into making the unit better and also by his performances over the years of services.

Requirements:

1. Secondary 4/5

2. Hold a minimum rank of Staff Sergeant.

3. Holder of the following badge:

    1. Police Knowledge Proficiency Badge
    2. Neighbourhood Watch Proficiency Badge
    3. Crime Prevention Proficiency Badge
    4. Civil Defence Proficiency Badge
    5. Drill Badge (at least 3rd class)
    6. National Survival Swimming (at least bronze) given by the S’pore Council or Life-saving (Bronze Medal) Conducted by the Royal Life Saving Society of S’pore.
    7. Pass the Physical Fitness Test conducted in school in the preceding year.

4. Contribute towards the progress and development of the school based on the following factors:

  1. Sec 1: School Camp and two revolver dry practices
  2. Sec2: Revolver life shoot
  3. Sec 3: Pulau Ubin Adventure Training Camp
  4. Attend at least one course organised by unit or NPCC HQ or participated in at least one of the major functions organised by the Unit, Area or NPCC HQ.

  3. consistently good performance
  4. positive attitude towards learning
  5. regular attendance
